On x86, I decoded some of the examples that come with libdecodeqr,
plus any I made with qrencode, plus a photo taken with the N810 camera of
a printout made with qrencode.

I presume that qrencode is stable and can be reliably decoded by most
programs, so if I make images with it they will work for everyone ?

Hmm. The N810 does not come with Java and there is not a Nokia certified
version. However, I see that there is something called Jailmo. Maybe I
can get qrcode or one of the other 3rd-party mobile Java decoders to run
on that.
If I have enough "disk" space (already run out once, and can't symlink
from the / device to the SD card easily to offload stuff)
